The 13th Annual SEA Conference will be held February 22nd and 23rd at the Hilton Hotel in Lisle, Illinois (Chicago suburb).  More materials will be available soon but we do have our marketing brochure available for download as well as information on scholarships, $1,000 Business Plan Pitch Competition, Juried College Art Competition, Book Proposal Reviews, and Registration.

13th Annual SEA Conference - Tentative Schedule Print E-mail

February 22nd and 23rd will be filled with activities all geared towards arts entrepreneurship.  Activities will include artist led sessions, panel discussions, one-on-one mentoring sessions, keynote presentations, networking, round table discussions, faculty sessions, workshops, juried art contest for college students, business plan pitch competition, and much more.  Please see the attached schedule for a general overview of activities.  A more detailed schedule listing sessions and speakers will be available in late fall.

Making it in the Arts at NCC Jan 19

 

North Central College invites aspiring artists and entrepreneurs to a free panel discussion Jan. 19 on “Making it in the Arts.” Attendees will learn what it takes to make a living in the arts from a panel of visual, performing, literary and media artists. The discussion is free and open to students and faculty from any college or university, as well as community members. The presentation is coordinated by The Chicago Artists’ Coalition and Self-Employment in the Arts (SEA).


The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, in North Central College’s theatre at Meiley-Swallow Hall, 31 S. Ellsworth St. The first 25 students from any college or university who present a valid ID will receive a free student membership to the Chicago Artists Coalition.
